Hey kids, It’s Dad and for todays TommyLog I want to talk about tooth paste usage. Both Emma and drew are having trouble modulating the mount of toothpaste that they use on a per use basis. A little bit of toothpaste goes a long way.
This led me to think that a little bit goes a long way. A little smile goes a long way, a hello or hi–that goes a long way. So take time to share a little—along the way.
Today I welcome Emma back into the TommyLog studio’s. Viewer email has been streaming in and today we answer some hard hitting – probing questions from our viewers.
1- What do you watch on YouTube on your spare time?
2- Where is your favorite place to go for fun?
3-What do you do thats not on your iPad?
4-What do you like to do in school?
We love questions – thanks to everyone who emailed us.
email me at tommytrc at gmail.com if you have a question for either me or Emma.
Few things make me smile as wide as when I go to the mail box and pull out a hard written card or letter. A long time social media friend sent me a post card from her adventures in Europe. How great is that.
I love writing handwritten notes and cards. I’m in a little lull at the moment, but I promise to be better
Hey Kids, for today’s TommyLog I want to share with you whats it’s like to find out your efforts are worth nothing. Today I received my final ESOP, Employee Stock Option Plan, share information in the mail from my 4 year stint at HC Miller.
What is an ESOP yo ask, well you can either Google it or keep reading. An ESOP is unlike corporations where the profits benefit shareholders, the profits in an ESOP benefit the employee shareholders. Well I was wooed away from my 14 year position at Banta / RR Donnelley to help build something great at Miller.
Well without getting too dirty, things were a lot better on paper than it appeared. Some people got millions and as you can see, I got zero. I sure met some of the GREATEST people i have ever met and worked with, but at the end of it all, as far as building up the Clifford retirement empire, I got zero.
Someone asked me where the TommyLog video series started and why do I do it? So for today’s Tommylog, lets dive right in and do some explaining.
I need to go all the way back to TommyLog #1. The only reason I do this is for my Kids. Madeline, Clara and Tommy. As a divorced father of 3, I don’t get the quality time with them that their mother gets. What messages am I going to instill on them and what will my legacy be? What will I leave them? Some dads leave their kids large sums of money or huge debt, I can’t say I’m leaving either. But what I can say I’m leaving them are small words of wisdom and life lessons they can take with them and use when they are parents.
This is what i chose to leave my kids and if it helps others, bonus.
