TommyLog – Lessons Learned from Scanning Tickets

Last weekend Clara and I had the opportunity of doing some charitable services by helping scan tickets at the Kenny Chesney concert at Lambeau Field. While scanning tickets, we witnessed some of the worst that Green Bay had to offer.

We were working the Fleet Farm gate and probably saw, no less than 18 people get ejected from the concert. Some escorted, some carried – all intoxicated. We saw one guy get cuffed and stuffed, we saw one get maced. Not a pleasant sight.

The a really good friend said this – “at least you got to spend the time together” and that set me back a bit. You know she is absolutely right. This was a major teaching moment for me and I’m glad I was a part of it.

THANK YOU for your comment and helping me see this.

TommyLog – Reverence for the Fallen

Having respect and a reverence for those who have put themselves before others is so important. A Facebook posting this week really hit home for me. The post was about how she had a body of a fallen solder on her plane and how the the body was deplaned before any of the passengers. That really hit me hard as a humbling experience.

Took me back to an experience I had visiting ground zero at the world trade center plaza just 5 weeks after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

TommyLog – New iPhone

Well Uncle Steve has done it again, a new iPhone. The facetime video chat feature looks really inviting! Got pulled over for not having my vehicle registered. The CU is doing all the work and some paperwork got delayed. I’ll get that worked out. Went to my old stomping grounds today to pick up some work for HCM… great to see friendly faces from days gone bye…
