TommyLog – NYC Marathon Must NOT Go On!

I’m stunned at the devastation on the east coast. The water, the sand and the pain. At first I really thought mayor Bloomberg was on top of this and that help was on its way. Now I hear that the New York City marathon is still going on with all this tragedy, I’m just at a loss for words. How can you invite 40,000 plus people to your house, when your house is a mess and you can’t even take care of your own?

I have no idea what they are thinking and the backlash from this WILL BE HUGE!!! They are already getting punished in social media. Just wait as the days draw closer to Sunday’s race. I believe this is a breach of leadership and one that they should be ashamed with if they let this go on!

TommyLog – Things are not as they seem…

Kids, we live in a day and age where people will say and act in a way that’s deceptive. It’s hard to separate the truth from the false. So many stories and so many people telling us what we want to hear. Both at work and on TV. How do we know? You need to trust your heart. If that’s not good enough, trust in the Lord. He has yet to let us down.

TommyLog – We go on because it’s 11:30

I’m reading Tina Fey’s book Bossy Pants and stumbled on a great quote from long time SNL producer Lorne Michaels

“We don’t go on because we’re ready; we go on because it’s 11:30”

We need to be ready to go on. We need to plan and be prepared. As prepare for high school graduation, or a play, or choir concert or dance recital, we all have to be ready. The show must go on and waits for no one!

TommyLog – Have a Plan!

How many of you fly by the seat of your pants? Sometimes blowing in the wind is just fine, but when it comes to work and taking care of your family, blowing around may not cut it. I just love my work. I love when I’m told about a  plan. BIG PLAN, H U G E Plan! I love it when my name is mentioned in the plan, well not just mentioned but embedded in the plan. E X C I T E D ! ! ! !

Do you have a plan? Life runs so much better when you are part of a plan.
