This week I had the opportunity to sit on a Boy Scouts of America Eagle Board of Review. As an Eagle myself, its great to be able to give back a little and help those who are continuing the tradition.

Helping in Times of Need
We had some rather major storms cut through the fox river Vally on Tuesday evening. Some amazing damage. Last evening I had the opportunity to help install a generator and give back a little to the community. It’s so amazing to do community services. To reach out to those in need and help.
Just be Nice, It Gets You More
TommyLog – Just be Nice, It Gets You More
Hey Kids, Welcome to Atlanta. I’m visiting Uncle Andy and participating in the 2013 Graphic Users Association meeting here in Hot-lanta. Actually the weather is super nice and I’m enjoying it all. Had a few experiences that I want to share. First, the battery on my iPhone 5 was giving me troubles. After the latest IOS update, the battery life seemed to be a lot less than before. I went to the apple store and met this nicest gal names Lana. She took the best care of us. One thing to know, few smiles and a thank you or 2 really gets you far. She ended up replacing my iPhone with a brand new one..and I wasn’t even expecting that.
Secondly we met the social media coordinator for the Gwinnett Braves AAA baseball organization. She was so nice and gave us the BEST seats for last nights game.We talked social media and even met the general manager. So much fun had by all… and mostly al this was possible because we were nice.
Sometimes nice people finish first!
Look for the Helpers
Over the past 2 days, our minds and hearts have been spilling over for the people hurt by the tragic bombing in Boston. You look for answers but they are few and far between. How do you explain this?
I love the quote by Mr Feed Rogers that has been circling the interwebs…
When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, “Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.” To this day, especially in times of “disaster,” I remember my mother’s words and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers — so many caring people in this world. – Freed Rogers
This is just so true… TRUE TRUE TRUE!!
its all how you look at things. Sure its easy to be mad and upset…even angry, but what does that get you. Zero.
This take look at the bright side to a whole new level… LOVE THIS!
I miss Mr. Rogers and the good he did!
