TommyLog – Reminiscing as a Dance Dad

So for today’s TommyLog, I want to take a few moments to talk about the dance dad routine for the season ending Little chute high school dance show off. Boy I sure am sore, but what a great way to tribute our daughters. I’m so proud of Clara and everything she has accomplished! She is truly amazing!

The dance dad performance…

TommyLog – Clara’s Going to Nationals!!

You did it, You did it, YOU DID IT!! What an amazing accomplishment! You did IT!! To think here is little Clara in end of 6th grade, coming to mom and dad asking if she could join the dance team. “The dance team we thought?” You hadn’t taken any dance in your life. You didn’t’ even know any dance moves…at all. But you had a plan. You knew the extra time it would take; you knew you would need to study extra hard and at different times to make room for practice. You knew it would cost money and had a plan to pay for uniforms, costumes and competitions. Your practiced and practiced and practiced and as a member of Chuting Stars you rocked it. You couldn’t even do the splits or kick above your shoulder level, but look at you now? You rocked all the competitions and then JAM… you were the best in the state!

Now high school, you are a superstar inside and out. Your mind is top notch as well as your body. Top match, top GPA, top netflix watcher ☺

You tried out for the Little Chute High School dance team and made it!!! Competition after competition, we watched you get stronger and stronger. Kicks getting higher and higher. We watched you get grow from you little girl to you beautiful young lady.

Each and every time I watch you dance, I get teary. I know I’m a wimp, but the passion you have for dance shows and that’s why YOU ARE SO GREAT! I love being your dad and I love watching you soar!
Congratulations!!! I am so proud of you!

I LOVE YOU, Dad!

TommyLog – For The Love of Noah – First Touchdown!

My 3 oldest have all attended Little Chute schools and Noah has been a HUGE part in sporting and music events there. Noah has been the Water boy for the football team for the last 3 years. For their final game, his fellow teamamtes asked Noah to suit up and helped him score a touchdown. The story has gone national, and on Sport Illustrated too!

If this doesn’t speak volumes about the quality of students exported from Little Chute, nothing does. BRAVO LCHS, GO NOAH!!!!

TommyLog – First Day Of School

Today marks the first day of school for Madeline, Clara and Tommy. How great it is to see their excitement and joy of learning. Clara is also on the cross country team. How fun for her. last night I had the opportunity to see and be a part of the return flight of the Old Glory Honor Flight. Almost 1000 people cam to ATW to see these vets return from their day in Washington DC. What an honor to pay tribute to such valiant servicemen and women.
