My wife and I have this mini tradition for special holidays and events, we leave cards around the house to each of us to find. Becky and the kids are out of town and she hid cards for house for me to find.
The simple act of sending a card has so much power!
I am just so proud of Madeline. This week, her hard work paid off and she is off to bigger and better things. I just could not be happier for her and her new endeavor. When you work hard, it will pay off! To the moon Madeline!
I have had this recurring whining with my power steering in my 2008 Honda Accord. After some good Google research, I found a self help video on how the power steering problem is caused by air getting into the lines. Digging deeper I found a Honda tech note on how the intake line may have a bad o-ring. After purchasing a 15 cent o-ring on a Honda parts website as well as $4.95 shipping, a trip to my buddy Sean’s house for some TLC, the problem was fixed.
Who would of thought that such a whine and racket could be fixed by a small, simple 15 cent part. Sometimes the smallest little things can make the biggest difference in the lives of others. Think about a smile, handshake, simple I Love you or card. Take a look around you and see what a difference you can make.
Last weekend I was in Chicago with my friends from Verizon. While there I learned of a program called HopeLine to help victims of domestic violence. Through HopeLine, you can help prevent domestic violence by donating no-longer-used wireless phones and accessories in any condition from any service provider at any Verizon Store or by mail.
It’s just super easy. Go to www.verizonwireless.com/hopeline print the postage-paid label, toss your phone into a padded envelope and seal it. Boom! Done!
No more phones in the landfill. Be green and help others in need all at the same time. A total WIN WIN.
2.4 million+ phones recycled in an environmentally sound way
180,000+ refurbished phones donated to domestic violence shelters
543 million+ minutes of wireless service donated to domestic violence victims and survivors
298 million+ text messages loaded on HopeLine phones
THAT’S HUGE!!
To help and join the cause go to www.verizonwireless.com/hopeline for more information.
