I’m So Sorry, It’s My Loss

Went to pay respects to the Lang family and especially Jess Dennis who lost her brother last week. As i waited in line, which ran out the door at time, I was just empty with what to say? What do you say in a time of tragedy like that? I had no clue. I was really stumped. I guess just having me stop over was all the words I needed to say, but you wish you had some grand words to say… then it hit me. I just said “Hi I’m Tommy, I’m sorry for your loss. It’s my loss that I never got to meet Erik.” Bam, done- that’s it.  I had never met Jess’s Mom or Dad before and that’s how I did it and it worked fine.

Jessica, I’m so sorry for your loss. I really got nothing. Words can’t take it away, but maybe the hug helped…a little.

Tale of 2 Customer Service Experiences

Had 2 very different customer services experiences the other day. One with Kaukauna Clinic where I have my primary care doctor and one at CVS pharmacy where I was to pick up my prescription and a few over the counter meds. Give this a listen to hear about all-star treatment and not so all-star treatment 🙁

Following Your Dream

Emma has had a life long, well a few years at least, dream of learning to ride a horse. She talked about it non stop. her love of horses is amazing. This week that dream became a reality. What’s your dream? We all have a dream to chase…but can it be caught? What’s your passion and do the 2 intersect?

Happy Graduation Day @MaddyMRC

Madeline graduates today and I’m just full. Full of pride, love and of course tears for the moment. I’m such a sap and I know it but watching your oldest end her public school career is something just amazing and I’ll get to see it first hand tonight.

I can not wait to see what comes next. The sky’s the limit here Madeline and I love you so much!
