TommyLog – Senior Scholarship Awards Night

Hey Kids it’s Dad and for today’s Tommy log I want to talk to you about Clara’s senior scholarship dinner. Every year Little chute high school, and Little Chute Career Pathways Academy have an end of the year scholarship dinner. This year’s dinner was amazing. There were over 70 scholarships given out during the 3 hour program. Scholarships ranging from $250 all the way up to full four-year ride scholarships were given out. Clara walked away with seven scholarships. What an amazing proud Dad moment.

Congratulations Clara and congratulations to all the award winners. What an all star group and and remember kids that hard work pays off!!

TommyLog – Never Stop Learning

Today I had the opportunity of participating in a mock interview process for some students at NWTC.  What a great experience that was. To be part of the process and to help with their learning and progression…amazing.

It was awesome to meet these kids, some of them were not kids–well some almost as old as I, and see they were still learning and growing and wanting to better their careers.

What  a blessing it was to be a part of that event.

Never stop learning!

TommyLog – A Daughters Love

Last week, as you recall, I went to MythBusters: Behind the Myth with my daughter Madeline as her gift to me for Christmas. What an amazing day we both had, just playing and hanging out. It really got me thinking, which of course got me emotional. How many 19 year old girls in this day and age really want to spend time with their dear old dads?

Well it’s an honor to say I’m in that club and what a GREAT feeling it is to know we can chat, laugh and play together even if as she grows up to be a fine young woman.

My life is so blessed!

Visit to The FVTC Culinary School

Today I got a chance to visit Madeline and tour the Fox Valley technical College’s School of Culinary Arts. its just so humbling to see her in her elements. So excited and proud to show off her new stomping ground. She beamed from ear to ear as she showcased their culinary theater, bakery kitchens and freezers.

I got teary eyed as I walked the halls being led from room to room filled with Madeline’s excitement and love for the culinary arts.

Amazing to watch your little girl grow up – WOW
