Won’t You Be My Neighbor? The Tale of 2 Different Stories

Hey kids, it’s Dad. For today’s Tommylog, I want to talk about the tale of two different stories. On one side we have a documentary called “Leaving Neverland” about one side of Michael Jackson that doesn’t get talked about a lot. On the other side, we have “Won’t You Be My Neighbor” which is a documentary about Fred Rogers.

Both documentaries are on the topic of children, but both take a completely different slant to it.

No kids I’m not here to take sides or to say what happened or what didn’t happen, I’m pretty sure the evidence speaks for itself. What I want to discuss is one big word…

Intent

What was Michael Jackson’s intent versus Mr. Fred Rogers intent? Who wanted the spotlight vs who just wanted to make a difference.

One documentary was very hard to watch, the other documentary was a pleasure to watch and I even cried during it.

I think we all can agree, the world needs more people looking out for children. The world needs more Mr. Rogers in it!
