So when you kids leave home, are you done being a parent? Had a phone call from the older kids mother, kids sad saying that when Tommy and Clara are 18, we won’t see each other as often. True, but really make me thing, does being a parent end at age 18?

Hey kids it’s Tommy, and you know how much I love doing videos — for today’s TommyLog TECH, I set out to see if I could use my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 as a mobile video production studio.
There are so many video-editing apps for the android platform, there is really no way I could test and try each one. I wanted to see if I could find one that closely mimicked the desktop editing experience.
I had a list of criteria I tried to keep to. I wanted to find an app that allowed for trimming clips, merging clips, adding titles, and had cloud storage capabilities so I could share via Google drive and dropbox.
Now certainly editing is one major component of the mobile video production studio, but taking nice steady shots is also important. Below is a listing of the tools I used to capture this video.
Smartphone Tripod Mount
Is the mobile experience going to 100% mimic the desktop video editing experience? Probably not, but you can look pretty good, wherever you are, just you and your Note 5.
Using the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 as a mobile video production studio is totally Tommy Approved!
