Tommylog TECH – Top 5 LOVES of the Moto Z Force Smart Phone #VZWBuzz #AD

Hey Kids it’s Tommy in for today’s Tommylog Tech I want to share with you the five things I love most about the Motorola Moto Z Force droid smart phone provided to me by my great friends at Verizon. My opinions are my own.

There are so many things to love about this phone picking five was hard!!

The first thing I love about this phone is it screen. It has a beautiful 5.5 inch diagonal screen. The quality and clarity of the screen is just amazing. The tech geeks at Motorola call the screen a quad HD screen – – I call it awesome. The screen is huge and delicious.

The second thing I love about the phone is the speed. It comes with a super fast processor and applications just snap open in the blink of an eye. It is pretty amazing. It also comes with 4 GB of RAM. This thing can chew through the biggest applications and games in no time. I love the speed!

The third thing I love about the Moto Z Force is it’s camera.  The front facing camera is a 21 megapixel shooter with laser auto focus and optical image stabilization. This is huge. I rarely travel with a tripod and having steady pictures especially in low light situations is awesome. You will love the camera on this smart phone.

The fourth thing I like about this smart phone is it ships with a good amount of storage. The base model of this phone has 32 GB of storage. These days this should be the minimum amount of storage on any smart phone. The android operating system takes up a good eight or 9 GB of that storage leaving you a pretty good amount for photos pictures and music. I also like the fact that you can expand the storage and put up to a 200 GB Micro SD card in here. Very convenient if you’re on the road or chewing up a lot of storage space by taking video. Emma loves to take video and she just chews up storage space. I appreciate the extra storage space on this device.

And last but not least the fifth thing I love about this phone is the “MotoMods.” Motorola has built a modular design into this phone. You can add and take away features that you want at a moments notice. Whether it be adding extra battery and wireless capabilities, adding a projector, or adding a speaker. You can make this phone what you want at the time you want it. So technically it can be all things to all people. Kind of like having a Swiss Army knife in your pocket. I just love it.

Well there you have it. Tommy’s top five things he loves about the Moto Z Force smart phone. The Moto Z force is 100% Tommy approved. I love it, you will love it!

TommyLog TECH – Working Remotely with the Moto Z Force #VZWBuzz #AD

Hey kids it’s Tommy, and for today’s Tommylog TECH I want to talk to you about how I use the Moto Z Force smart phone in my daily hustle. As many of you may know, two weeks ago I was laid off. I’ve been starting my own business and I’ve been working remotely a lot. A coffee shop here, a patio there, or a restaurant over there. The Moto Z has been my constant companion.

My good friends at Verizon also supplied me with three MODs to make my remote work experience just awesome. The TUMI Power Pack wireless battery MOD, the JBL SoundBoost speaker MOD, and the Motorola Insta–Share Projector MOD.

First let me tell you about The TUMI Power Pack MOD. This MOD adds wireless charging capabilities to my Moto Z as well as gives me almost all day wireless hotspot use. This is huge. I rarely trust public free Wi-Fi hotspot locations, and this makes it so I don’t have to.

Next, when I’m working remotely, I like to have my tunes with me, iI’s no fun to work in the quiet. The JBL Sound Boost MOD gives the Moto Z amazing speakers so I can crank my 80s hair band music – – this is a judgment free zone please don’t mock – – and I love it. The sound is as amazing as you’d expect from the people at JBL.

And last but not least is the Insta – Share Projector MOD from Motorola. This has to be the biggest sleeper and hidden gem of them all for working and collaborating remotely. Sure I’ve watched cartoons and videos with my children on the ceiling in their rooms. That works rather well. But on the road while I’m trying to earn a buck, watching movies isn’t what I want to be doing. So I found a use that is really amazing with my friends. Google created an application called chrome remote desktop. This application can be downloaded for your Mac, your PC, iOS or android device.

Look here for the full scoop on Chrome Rremote Desktop.

Once installed, this allows me to cast my Mac OS X screen from my laptop onto the Moto Z. Then I hook on the Insta-Share Projector, now my Mac screen can be projected on the wall- can you believe 80 inches of hi-def goodness in the palm of your hand?? It is really remarkable. No longer do I have my friends cram around my small screen when we’re collaborating on a project. Bam! Let me project the presetnation on the Wall and we can all work together. This solution is perfect for presentation or a word document that you’re working on. This is not a good solution if you want to share a video in this regard. There are other ways to solve that problem. Also note battery life is only about an hour or two. So bring your charger if you want to do a lot of projecting.

So there you have it kids – – this is how I use the Moto Z Force in my daily hustle as a new budding entrepreneur. Thank you to my great friends at Verizon for supplying me with this great tech. This is Tommy with TommyLog TECH, if you have any questions or comments please leave them in the notes below. I answer them all myself and I love comments. You guys rock!!

TommyLog TECH – It’s the Little Things That Matter #VZWBuzz #bettermatters #AD

Hey Kids it’s Tommy and today I want to start off by telling you I have been glued to my TV screen watching the RIO 2016 Olympics! Tonight I was watching men’s swimming and the time separating the gold from silver metals was less than 11 hundredths of a second. 4 years ago swimmer Michael Phelps won by a staggering one hundredth of a second (0.01) – just a blink of the eye. This made me think, what’s true in the Olympics is true in the tech world. It’s the little things that matter and let me show you the little things that matter most to me with my Tile, Moto360 smart watch and lastly the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

TILE

Tile has quickly become one of my favorite Bluetooth accessories. I love that it is so small- smaller than my Honda key. It just hangs there on my key ring, ready and waiting for the call – to help find my keys at a moments notice. The other little thing I just love is the power and activation button. It’s the “e” in tile. Just press it and you are ready to go! Such a great design.

Moto 360 by Motorola

The Moto 360 is my go to smart watch of choice. I’ve wore the Apple Watch but prefer the round face of the Moto 360. It stands out in the crowd and I love that about this watch. The design engineers at Motorola really took care in designing this gen 2 devise. I love the fact that the bottom is offset, so you don’t bump it when you bend your wrist. The next little thing I love about the Moto 360 is the Gorilla Glass. I never have to worry about the next bump, ding or scratch situation as this stuff is strong and protects this beauty perfectly. Gone are the days of scratched or gouged watch faces here.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

The Galaxy S7 Edge is just an amazing handset. Top of the line all the way, but its really the little things, ok maybe some of them are pretty major. Top of this list is the curved screen. It’s different than any other manufactures handset and it’s just slick. Smooth and useful you can see the time and news on the edge there. The feel of the screen is just so unique. The next little thing I enjoy is the wireless charging. How sweet is it to just plop the phone down on a wireless charger and it just starts charging. “Look mom – no wires!” Not even the iPhone 6s has this! Keeping with the wireless theme, the next little thing that just rocks about the S7 Edge is NFC and Samsung Pay. The ability to have contactless payment adds to the excitement about this handset. Lastly, waterproof! Having a smartphone waterproofs to 5 ft. is just amazing. It’s one of those features that you forget about – till you need it.

So there you have it kids. The top little things I love about some of my favorite tech accessories. Cause it’s the little things that matter! Better Matters!

THANK YOU to my good friends at Verizon.

The Motorola Power Pack Slim 4000 is a super small, portable battery pack that recharges all your mobile tech gear. As the name suggests the Motorola Power Pack Slim 4000 offers up to 4000 mAh of power. Well what’s the really mean to me? For you iPhones users, that means you can recharge your iPhone’s up to 3 times. Samsung galaxy Note 3 users can get more than a full charge and iPad mini, almost 75% recharge. That’s a lot of charging power packed into such a small size. This device is about the same physical size and weight as my iPhone 5S.

The Motorola Power Pack Slim 4000 has a power button that and a set of 4 LED status lights that tells you how much charge is left in the battery. The power pack also has a industry standard micro USB as well as standard USB plug for all your charging needs. iPhone users just plug in your lightning cable to the USB port and away you go. The Motorola Power Pack Slim 4000 can even charge 2 devices at the same time. That’s pretty awesome.

The Motorola Power Pack Slim 4000 has built in computer circuitry to charge your device as fast as the device can take current, and is even smart enough to shut itself off when not in use. The computer brains allow the Motorola Power Pack Slim 4000 to be plugged into the wall outlet at all times without over charging –so it’s ready to go when you are.
