Showing Good Sportsmanship

Hey kids, it’s dad. Today want to talk to you about something I saw during the 2018 Winter Olympics. I was watching the medal ceremony of the women’s hockey. An amazing match between Canada and United States. Both teams have been rivals since the dawn of time. Hockey in Canada go hand-in-hand like peanut butter and jelly. This gold-medal match was a meeting of equals. The winner came down to a shoot out in overtime.

Sadly the thing that will be remembered most is the medal ceremony where one of the members of team Canada took her silver metal off again disgust. I have no idea what was going through her mind but it really showed poor sportsmanship. There’s a huge huge difference between disappointment and disgust.

Kids be good Sportsmens. Celebrate those who win. Thank those who lose. Not everybody can win. You will not always win. There will be setbacks. But how you play on and off the field is being watched.

Everybody notices!!

Being a good sportsman isn’t just about playing sports it’s how you handle life. Celebrate those who win! I said it once in an earlier video “noticed who is not clapping when you win“ make sure to clap for everyone!
