Trust Your Gut!

Hey, kids, it’s Dad and last week was a rough travel week with some serious snow in Chicago. My Monday flights were canceled and my Friday return flights were moved to Thursday. So then I get the notification that my new Chicago flights on Thursday may be in jeopardy now…. Ugggg.

Well, my gut told me that if I flew from Cincinnati to Chicago, my connecting flights would be canceled. Corporate travel helped confirm my suspicion but nothing was 100% till it happens. But regional air travel through O’hare gets second-class treatment and flights get canceled there for the smallest of reasons.

So I trusted my gut and I drive the 500+ miles from Dayton Ohio to Appleton. AND I WAS RIGHT! ALL FLIGHTS FROM ORD CANCELED! I would have been stranded there until at least lat Friday night if not Saturday! Kids trust your gut!!

Break Big Items into Little Pieces

Hey, kids, it’s dad, and for the past week I have been in Ohio for training. The new tools that I am learning are pretty overwhelming. It’s just so much information to learn. Years and years of tribal knowledge all pushed into your lap overnight. I was really starting to get worried about how much I needed to learn.

This week I met an associate who told me to take a few steps backward. Stop focusing on the big picture and zoom in and look at the small elements. The entire process can be overwhelming, but when you take big items and break them into smaller chunks, makes this much more manageable. I’m thankful for Eric and for what he taught me. It’s a very powerful lesson. Kids when things seem overwhelming, Break those big items into manageable chunks and things go that much smoother.

Operation Gallbladder!

Hey kids, it’s Dad and today I want to talk all about my gallbladder surgery and the recovery. WOW what an amazing 2 week period it has been. You have all been along for the ride and it has been a dandy!

I am so thankful for all the medical staff who took such good care of me along the way. I am so blessed!
