Took my son Tommy to see Million Dollar Arm this weekend and like most movies, there a life lesson to be gleaned,
When you are all business and take things too seriously, can you really make things happen? Certainly, but are you having fun… NO!
The moral of the story here is that when the ball players had fun, they got signed and then they were too serious, the pressure got to them and they failed.
How can the actions of one person hurt so many? I’m referring to the shooting in Aurora, Co. at the midnight showing of the new Batman movie. So many bad choices, so much pain. My heart goes out to those families and the pain they are dealing with.
I’m helping Jody with her DVD collection and making backup copies for her soon to be ex husband. As i’m making dups it really hit me how sad it is that their entire 8 year marriage can be boiled down to 34 DVD’s worth of memories. Is this how we want to be remembered? I want it to be so much more… What do you want your legacy to be?

News reports are saying there is a crop of people who are seeing Avatar and then leaving the movie to find out they are becoming depressed. Watching the perfect world environment and then having to return to reality seems like too much for some people. Tommy talks about this in his daily tommylog.
Tommy is excited to go see Avatar in 3D. Why do online ticket places charge you more to buy the ticket there then in person? Extra “Convenience” charges are totally bogus. So excited to see what the hype is all about.
