TommyLog – Clifford Family Military Hero’s

Everyone observes Memorial Day in a different fashion. The Clifford family had a church pancake breakfast and then took it easy. All the while I was thinking about the sacrifice of my Father who served in the NY Air National Guard and my Brother Mark who is currently serving as a doctor in the Army stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska.

THANK YOU for your unselfish service of our country. You are an inspiration to us all. Putting others first!

TommyLog – Happy “Big 3” Baby Drew!!

What an amazing 3 years it has been. Watching you grow up is just the best EVER!!! I’m so excited to have cake and ice cream with you tonight. What a blessing you are to our family…

To think this is how it all started. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rb3ntwMxB5w

TommyLog – Standing Up For The Little Guy

Today I want to talk about Clara and her willingness to stand up for the little guy at school, even if it’s not the “cool” thing to do. Clara has a tendency to gravitate towards the people who are siting by themselves at the lunch table or alone in class. She has many friends at school with disabilities. She has won a few community service awards for her thoughtfulness. What a true hero in my mind and an example for all.

Her love in this area has led me to help, albeit in a much smaller way, a kid by the name of Austin who is trying to win a wheelchair accessible fan. I have been spreading his story around social media and trying to drum up virtual support. He has an amazing story and is worthy of your vote!

TommyLog – Purchased Sight Unseen

This morning during my chat with my father, he told me of Grandma & Grandpa’s house on Sylvania Road (the house he grew up in). The house was built in 1939 and the land was essentially purchased sight unseen. They saw the land at 11 pm at night using headlights to scope out the property. They had another property pending and had to act quick. Turns out the house was built on property that backed eight up to the 3rd tee of the east course at Oak Hill Country Club in Pittsford, NY. Neat to learn a bit of history around the house I spent so much time at.
