Napster launches a campaign against Apple’s iTune

Napster will spend $30M to promote its portable music service in an ad campaign aimed at Apple’s iTune and iPod products.

Napster suggests that people should compare the price that they would spend to buy and store the 10,000 songs available on Apple’s iTune versus the $15 per month that Napster is charging to access more than one million songs. A Napster-compatible device will be needed to use the service.
