Hey Kids it’s dad, and for today’s Tommy log I want to talk about communication. I feel the communication is the key to all success is, or in turn failures in this world. When things are going well you communicate. When things are not going well, you stop communicating.
Look around you look at some of your successes and your failures and I’d be willing to bet they lead to communication.
Hey Kids it’s dad, and for today’s TommyLog I want to talk about pushing boundaries. I think it’s human nature to stay in your comfort zone, but in order for you to make advances in life, you have to push boundaries.
Look at Tommy, Madeline, and Clara. Look at what they been able to accomplish. Tommy took minutes off his time in cross country. Clara pushed herself out of her comfort zone and learned to dance and became a state and national champion. Madeline is an assistant manager at a Culvers. Emma and Drew each day push themselves out of their comfort zones at school and at play.
A muscle never used never get stronger. We need to push ourselves out of her comfort zone to become better. We need to push boundaries.
Just remember kids, if it was so easy everybody would be doing it.

Hey Kids it’s dad, and for today’s TommyLog I want to talk to you about something I saw while standing in the security line at the Atlanta airport.
I saw a family of cousins, uncles, nieces, boyfriends, girlfriends, mom’s, dad’s brothers and sisters all waiting for a return missionary. They had signs, they had balloons –they were all smiling they were jumping up-and-down with anticipation.
It was so awesome to watch it happen. Missionaries for our churches her for 18 months or two years. I didn’t know if this was going to be a guy or a girl getting off the plane. Traditionally you wait to be the last person off the plane and sure enough this gentleman was the last person off the plane.
It was awesome to watch and see who was the mom and who would run into his arms first. Mom got the first hug, girlfriend who would been waiting patiently for two years got the second hug. It was awesome.
Kinda made me think about what our homecoming will be like when we go to the other side. Will be waiting for us? Which ancestors love this the most will be waiting there as we go on the other side. Homecomings are sweet.

UPDATE – 11-14-15 – In doing more research, I was wrong about Samsung Pay magnetic secure transmission (MST). It utilized digital tokens and is just as secure as NFC transactions.

Hey Kids, it’s Tommy, and for today’s TommyLog TECH I want to tell you a story. The story starts out very sad. As I begin my tale I need to tell you about my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and someone who put the S – Pen in wrong. Putting the S – pen in backwards causes significant problems with the device. One of them is that it will never come out again without permanently damaging the device. I didn’t know what to do. So I decided to chat with Samsung’s online support.
I had no idea the outcome of this process. this was all new territory for me, using Samsung’s tech and repair processes. This story has the happiest of happy endings! I cannot thank Samsung enough for how great they took care of me and how fast the repair was.
