The Last hours – Exit Interview

Today was my last day of work at RR Donnelley. Almost 14.5 years of great memories, laughs and love. It all came to a close at the Exit Interview. About a dozen questions about my stay at RRD. Pretty sterile and objective. A pretty emotional day, but all in all..amazing. THANK YOU all my RRD friends and family. Its Happening and this is just the beginning!!! So exciting to watch it all happen.

NOTE: There are 2 videos for this posting, so scroll down for more….

With the exit interview behind me, it was smooth sailing. A dozen or so questions then its time for lunch with my great friends at Red Shoes PR. We grubbed at Panera Bread, talked about our first jobs and transitioning betwen jobs. Fun had by all. Now its off to happy hour and more friends and well wishing.

You have come a long way Baby

Tommy shared his thoughts about moving on and the milestones he has had in his career at Banta/RRD. So many memories and so many fun times….its hard to be sad. But I found a few moments for sure. Ever wanted to know where I got my Sparky nickname at work? Listen an you will know.

Penny Wars for Haiti

Tommy’s Blue and Gold Cub Scout banquet was a hit. So much fun. His cub master of many years stepped down from his post. I have sop much respect and love for people who serve children in that capacity. AMAZING!!! But today’s highlight is the student assembly at Gegan Elementary where it was announced they made $2000.00 in a penny war for Haiti. The generous gift from the folks at Red Shoes PR with a $600 match made it all possible. Of course there were the fine folks at Prospera Credit Union who counted all the loose change. There was a HUGE 3×5 foot check to give to the American Red Cross. Oh man, warm and fuzzies all around.

Tommy’s Blue & Gold Banquet

Today was Tommy’s Blue and Gold Cub Scout banquet. What a great day to be a kid. I’m so proud of my son Tommy. Today made me think fondly of my father and all the sacrifices he made to be with me and my activities. I love being a dad!! I love the example my dad is for me and my life. Fatherhood is amazing. You can’t put it into words.

Only 3 more days left at my current job. I’m so excited. Well actually really 2.5 as my exit interview is at 11:00 on Friday. And after that I guess I just go back to my desk and cry the afternoon away… So great! So Amazing to see what next!!!
